Cleaning tips that save you time and energy!
Cleaning can really get the best of you sometimes. There’s nothing quite like getting home from a long day at work and realising that your house desperately needs a good clean. It’s not that you mind cleaning, but rather that it takes so much time and energy!
Well, to make your life a bit easier, here are some cleaning tips that will change all that…
Do laundry first thing in the morning: Go ahead and load up your Smeg Washing Machine before you’ve even poured your first cup of coffee. It only takes a few minutes and you’ll already feel as though you’ve achieved something for the day. Then, while the laundry is getting nice and clean, you can handle some other chores until it’s done.
Do the dishes first: Before you start on the kitchen floors or the table tops, you should wash the dishes. You see, you may spill dishwater or crumbs while you cleaning those dirty plates and then you’ll have to go back and re-wash the floors. And that’s something you definitely don’t want to be stuck doing.
Dryer sheets at the bottom of the dust bin: You know how sometimes there ends up being a bit of liquid at the bottom of the dustbin? You can try as hard you can to only put dry rubbish in the bin, but it never seems to work. Well, all you need to do is put some dryer sheets at the bottom of the bin and they’ll soak up any gross mess that leaks through!
Clean out your fridge before you go shopping: It’s important that you regularly clean out your fridge to avoid any rotting food or bad smells. And grocery shopping is not something you can avoid doing. So, why not clean out your fridge before you do your weekly shopping? This way you’ll remember to do it regularly and it will make it so much easier to make a grocery list.
Clean while you cook: There are few things worse after eating a big meal than going back to the kitchen to clean up a huge mess. So, make it simple for yourself and clean while you cook. Run some hot water with dishwashing liquid and put the dishes in as you’re finished using them. Also wipe down the counters if you spill anything. You’ll thank yourself later.
At the end of the day, cleaning can be quite a pain and take a lot of time. But using these quick tips can really make all the difference!
